How Gigantoonz Works

Gigantoonz is an 8x8 cascading video slot developed by Play'n GO. Wins are created by landing clusters of 6 or more matching symbols in adjacent positions, either vertically or horizontally. Payouts are based on the paytable and the game's rules, with each winning cluster awarding a prize at the end of the game round.

Whenever a winning cluster is formed, the matching symbols are removed from the grid and new symbols cascade down to fill the empty spaces. The cascading continues until no new winning clusters appear. If multiple clusters win in a single round, all winnings are combined. Each cluster win only pays for the highest value combination per symbol.

Your bet cannot be changed during an active game round. Free Spin features, if triggered, are played at the same bet level as the round in which they were activated. The current RTP can be viewed within the game.

Main Game Features

  • Mega Symbols: Large symbols may land in various sizes, ranging from 2x2 up to 7x7. Each mega symbol is treated as a single symbol when evaluating clusters, but comes with a randomly assigned cluster value of up to 13 that determines potential payouts. If a mega symbol helps create a win, it leaves a WILD symbol behind. Should a mega symbol be unable to drop further, it fills the space using 1x1 versions of itself without extra cluster value.
  • Quantum Wilds and Wild Substitutions: If no win is achieved in a round, between 5 and 10 Quantum Wilds may appear on the grid at random. Wilds can substitute for any symbol, and Gargantoon Wilds are awarded through the Quantumeter feature detailed below.
  • Quantumeter Charging: Each winning symbol contributes one charge to the Quantumeter; mega symbols contribute charges equal to their cluster value. The Quantumeter has four levels and holds up to 100 charges. The charge levels are:
    • 25 charges: Disintegration
    • 50 charges: Metamorphosis
    • 75 charges: Radiation
    • 100 charges: Gargantoonz!
    When cascading ends, any fully charged Quantumeter feature activates in sequence. The Quantumeter is inactive once all features have been played for a round.

Quantumeter Features Explained

  • Disintegration: Removes all instances of four randomly chosen symbols from the grid.
  • Metamorphosis: Randomly selects one symbol type (including any mega symbol) and transforms all its instances into another symbol.
  • Radiation: Randomly adds between zero and four mega symbols and between two and five Quantum Wilds to the slots grid.
  • Gargantoonz!: Triggers after the other features have played and splits into two sequential actions. First, all mega symbols on the grid transform into mega Gargantoonz (at least three mega Gargantoonz are guaranteed), with an added 2–4 1x1 Gargantoonz. These mega Gargantoonz do not disappear when part of a winning cluster. Second, all mega Gargantoonz break apart to become 1x1 Gargantoonz, which are then removed in the usual way during further wins or cascades.

Placing Bets and Game Actions

  • Bets: Stake amounts range from £0.20 to £5.00 per round. Adjust your bet using the plus or minus buttons at the bottom of the game screen.
  • Paytable: Select the paytable option to review symbol values and cluster payouts.
  • Start: Begin each round by pressing the START button or using the spacebar when the game is active.
